Best Western Plus Hotel Universo

The things I liked the most during my stay were the breakfast because it had many options and it was not too expensive, the king sized bed that gave us a lot of room to sleep for both me and my boyfriend and I got to say and it maybe surprising but the hotel shampoo and body cream, but especially the shampoo that had no silicon in it. My scalp was very happy with it, my chevelure was shiny and bouncy and since that, I've been trying to purchase shampoo with no silicon in it, but I haven't quite found something that feel as good as the one I was using in the hotel room. Also, I want to say that the front desk manager that was doing day shift and speaking french was very responsive and accomodating. The first day, I told them that there was an issue with the shower door (and I've been working as a housekeeper in my younger years so I know it's not good for pre-usure + it can be a pain in the ass to walk into a bathroom with a floor full of water and clean the mess when you already have a lot on your plate) so anyway, the next day, someone was coming to fix it and we also got a free breakfast.

Location is great and surrounded by many restaurants and cafes and close to attractions; the staff are nice

This is my fourth time in Rome and this is by far has been my favourite stay because of the accommodation! ( and the Rugby ). The room was excellent with a proper extra single bed for our child. The main bed is super king size and very comfortable. The bathroom was huge with separate shower cubicle as well as bathtub. All the plumbing worked which is not always the case in Rome ( understandably ) best of all was the large patio style door window ( safety rail provided ) which allowed us to open fully providing a lively fresh breeze through the room ❤️…The room staff cleaning did an excellent job every day! All staff were extremely welcoming. Absolutely loved this stay!

The breakfasts were excellent, with a wide selection of dishes and great coffee—especially the coffee offered separately, included in the breakfast price. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of the Colosseum, the Forum, the Terms etc. Our room faced an inner courtyard with an average view, but after long walks exploring the city, we didn't miss having a balcony.

Room was clean, bathroom was quite roomy and clean. Cold and warm drinking water dispenser at the floor. Safe deposit box in the room. Shower was hot and powerful. Plenty of hangers. We took the 3-beds room and the 3rd bed was quite comfortable for an adult. Check in was very efficient - receptionist spoke perfect English. Easy 10 mins walk from the central train station - helpful if you have luggage to drag around. There is a small Carrefour grocery store nearby. Plenty of breakfast choices nearby which are cheaper than the hotel's. Neighbourhood is clean and safe, away from the train station.
